John Carlin has been guiding on the Mulchatna River since 1987 with over 20 years of guiding experince. The original owner, Dennis Harms, first began operating on the Mulchatna River in the early 1970's and eventually the business expanded into a full-service fish camp in the Alaskan Bush.
Since first guiding on the Mulchatna in 1987, John Carlin has returned to the exact location every season. Working toward his dream of becoming a true Alaskan outfitter, John worked from the ground up and has guided, managed, and eventually purchased Alaska Trophy Fishing Safaris. John, and his wife Melissa, hope to share this special place with their guests for years to come.”
John has extensive knowledge of this river including it's history, the fishery and the regional wildlife. His experience has produced a proven record of successful and productive fishing trips. Our goal is to provide the trip of a lifetime fishing in the great Alaskan Bush.
