PEAK OF THE RUN. Our camp is located 300 miles southwest of Anchorage, and produces some of the largest and most varied catches in Alaska. We have a modest, but functional and comfortable camp of 10x12 screened wall tents with wood floors and propane stoves, each accommodating two fishermen. There is a shower and fish freezers, and top-notch cooks and menu. Each pair of fishermen has one guide per boat and motor. There are ten varieties of fish: King, jack, calico and sockeye salmon, rainbow trout, pike, char, whitefish, arctic grayling and Dolly Varden.

Mulchatna River Camp - With this "all inclusive trip" you bring your personal bag, and we will provide the rest:

Lodging: 25 classic Alaskan wall tents, including separate 10x12’ sleeping, 16x20’ eating, and 14x16’ showering, etc. All heated and cleaned daily. This very comfortable camp receives a lot of praise.

Great Meals: Snow crab, roast beef, turkey, ribs and chops are prepared for hungry, hard-working fishermen by our fantastic staff of cooks.

Staff: We take pride in our experienced, hand-picked staff of guides, cooks and hostesses. Most of our staff has worked together for several years and each season is like a family reunion.

Equipment: Quality motors, boats, and rafts. Both spinning and fly rods/ reels.

Freezer Storage: Filleting, packaging, and freezing of your fresh catch of the day.

Location: We are 300 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska in the world’s most prolific salmon drainage. 100,000 king salmon were already in our system by the end of June 2004, four times that of most runs. Due to our location, and your trip dates, all species of salmon will be in different color phases.

Fishing: The fishing action in numbers and variety is exceptional for Alaska standards. Chinook or king salmon up to 60 lb sockeye or red salmon (world record size), silver, and chum salmon all up to 16 lbs. Colored silver, blush, or red, these salmon are great action. With rainbow trout, arctic grayling, arctic char, and northern pike, the angler can catch up to seven different types of fish daily.

Wildlife Viewing: Caribou, moose, brown bear, wolf, fox, beaver, waterfowl, osprey, and eagle.
